How Altivar Systems Ltd handles personal information collected through this website.

Who we are

Altivar Systems Ltd is the data controller for information collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@altivarsystems.com.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us. The systems-audit enquiry form asks for your company, industry, a description of the problem you are trying to solve, the kind of system you think you need, the tools you currently run, your timeline and budget range, and your name, role, email address and — optionally — a phone number.

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, session recording or heatmap tools on this website, and we do not buy or enrich contact data.

Why we use it

We use what you send to prepare for and reply to your enquiry, and to carry out any work you subsequently ask us to do. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to a business enquiry you initiated — or, once we are working together, performance of a contract.

We do not add enquiries to a mailing list and we do not use your details for unrelated marketing.

Who else sees it

Enquiries are delivered to our own inbox by an email delivery provider acting as our processor. Beyond that, we share personal information only where we are legally required to.

Our hosting provider processes standard server request data, including IP addresses, in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within twelve months. Where we go on to work together, we keep project correspondence for as long as the engagement runs and for six years afterwards, which is the period we may need it for legal and accounting purposes.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we are using it.

Email hello@altivarsystems.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

This website is served over HTTPS. Enquiry submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and are not stored in a database on this website — they are delivered directly to our inbox. Credentials for the delivery provider are held as environment variables and are never exposed to the browser.

Changes

If we change how this website handles personal information — for example by adding analytics or a scheduling embed — we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
